First of all, I love tea, and especially chai latte’s. Due to my obsession with chai lattes, they have been my downfall for many a year. By starting my trim healthy mama (THM) journey in the nice warm weather it was easy to do away with them for GGMS (Good girl moonshine – a healthy sip all day kind of cool drink). But, the cool weather is setting in and I find myself craving that sweet foamy comfort again. This homemade chai latte recipe does the trick!
While determined to find an alternative, I’ve tried many many recipes online. After my recent Facebook Epicure party, with new supplies in hand, I was set to try again. Specifically, I earned loose leaf chai tea, apple pie spice and a deluxe milk brother. Therefore, I figured these had to be the makings of a fantastic latte. And my goal was a trim healthy mama approved drink!
Across my internet stumblings, I came across this recipe at Gwen’s nest for “brown sugar” which is trim healthy mama friendly. Furthermore, it was the perfect complement to the other ingredients. So, without further ado, I give to you my new homemade chai latte recipe!! Finally- cheaper than Starbucks and containing NO sugar. As a result, you are guaranteed to LOVE this drink!!
Because there is no protein in this drink, you need to combine it with an S meal!
